H&M recently announced their H&M Conscious Collection, which will launch on April 14th in all H&M stores. The line will include clean, white looks for women, men and children. From their press release:
“Sustainability is always in fashion at H&M. This April H&M, as part of its focus on sustainability, will introduce Conscious Collection, an ongoing range for women, men and kids, made from environmentally-adapted and greener materials such as organic cotton. The collection is made from environmentally adapted and sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, Tencel ® and recycled polyester. H&M’s in-house designers have been inspired by different shades of white, one of this spring’s most important colors. A minimalist, tailored look is combined with romantic lace, broderie anglaise, frills and draping.”
H&M head of design, Ann-Sofie Johansson, said about the line: “The possibilities for creating a complete fashion statement with eco smarter materials are huge now. By designing recurring Conscious Collections, we have the opportunity to show in a variety of ways what’s possible using more sustainable fabrics.”
Angella Hlymbicky, a Vancouver Wardrobe Consultant, had this to say about the new line: “This is a great line since most of the collection is made up of minimalist, simplistic pieces that could fit into anyone’s wardrobe. And the collection is completely white, which makes it more classic.”
