The aliens have arrived, and not in their usual covert fashion, but in a laser light show spectacular. Rotating lights in the Norwegian sky on Tuesday night left those who witnessed the trippy show confounded.

The Daily Mail reported that the phenomenon began when what appeared to be a blue light seemed to shoot up from behind a mountain. It stopped mid-air, then began to circulate. Then as the giant spiral covered the entire sky, a green-blue beam of light shot out from its center and lasted for 10 to 12 minutes before disappearing completely.

Astronomer Knut Jorgen Roed Odegaard said that he had never seen anything like the lights. He told VG Nett , a Norwegian newspaper, “My first thought was that it was a fireball meteor, but it has lasted far too long. It may have been a missile in Russia, but I can not guarantee that it is the answer.”

So what is the Norway Spiral? Scientist Erik Tandberg at the Norwegian Space Centre suggest that the spiral pattern could have been caused by a missile from Russia. The Russian military strongly denies this.
