The devastation continues in Haiti, with a magnitude 6.1 earthquake striking about 35 miles northwest of Port-au-Prince and lasting several seconds. People who were mostly camped outside for fear of such aftershocks, were terrified. Luckily, it seems that damages from this powerful aftershock are believed to be minimal.
However, the second large quake has caused problems for the aid and rehabilitation workers and rescue efforts.
The quake of January 12 caused approximately 200,000 deaths while another 250,000 people got injured and 150,000 have become homeless, however, rescue teams have been able to pull 100 survivors out of the debris.
