Brittany Murphy, who made her breakout as the lovable friend to Alicia Silverstone’s character in “Clueless,” has sadly died at the age of 32.
Paramedics were called to the L.A. home that she shared with her husband, Simon Monjack, when her mother found her unconcious in the shower. When they arrived, paramedics determined Murphy had suffered a cardiac arrest and she could not be revived. She died at approximately 10 a.m. this morning.
Murphy starred in such films as “Sin City,” “8 Mile,” and “Don’t Say a Word.” Murphy was reportedly fired from last film, “The Caller,” after reports she was problematic on set.
Her husband, Simon Monjack, told staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center he did not want an autopsy performed on Murphy – however, one will be performed anyway.
