A baby giant panda born Nov. 3, is the talk of the town today. Less than one-month-old, the new giant panda cub currently resides at Zoo Atlanta. The panda cub was born to Lun Lun and is the only giant panda born in the U.S. this year.
Following Chinese tradition, the cub will be named once he is 100 days old and measures over a foot long and weighing just 2.2 pounds. He will be placed in public viewing areas when he can walk.
He recently underwent an exam conducted by veterinarian Dr. Hayley Murphy and was given a clean bill of health. What a cutie. The panda. Not Dr. Murphy… though we’re sure Dr. Murphy is a fine-looking specimen.
